Marmelade Liqueur

Marmelade is one of the unique delights of traditional Portuguese confectionery. Dating back to the 15th century, it appeared in the cookbook of Infanta D. Maria of Portugal, and during the Age of Discoveries, it traveled along the routes to India and Brazil. Following the first mass celebrated in Brazil, it became the very first dessert to be enjoyed there.

Inspired by this tradition, this aromatic liqueur with a lightly astringent flavor is made from memilelus, the Latin word for quince a name that alone is enough to whet the appetite.
