Old Vines Cultos Reserve Limited Edition Red 2019

This red wine hails from old‐vine plots situated south of the Serra d’Ossa, in the Alentejo region of Portugal, on Mediterranean brown soils with quartzodiorite composition, at around 270 metres altitude. 
Crafted from a blend of heritage grape varieties including Aragonês, Castelão, Grand Noir, Moreto, Trincadeira, Tinta Caiada, Touriga Franca, Rufete and Tinta Barroca among others, hand-harvested, ultra-limited production and made without added sulphites.
In the glass it shows an intense garnet colour. The nose reveals a complex array of aromas, cooked red fruit, balsamic menthol notes, fine wood integrated elegantly, floral undercurrents and subtle anise hints. On the palate it demonstrates great finesse: balanced, structured yet smooth, with fresh menthol character, balsamic undertones and a very long, elegant finish.

Serving Suggestions
Serve at 16 °C–18 °C. Excellent with roasted leg of kid, mature rib-steak, full-bodied red meats and well-aged cheeses where its depth and elegance can shine. 

Storage
Store bottles lying horizontally in a cool, dry place away from direct light and major temperature swings. This wine has favourable ageing potential.
