This thick-cut chouriço is made from selected cuts of native black pig, leg, belly, shoulder and neck, blended with rich black-pig fat, garlic, salt, and spices, then smoked slowly over holm-oak wood (azinho). The result is a deep, smoky aroma, a marbled red interior, and a bold, authentic flavour that captures the essence of Alentejo tradition.

Origin

Portugal; Alentejo region, crafted using traditional smoking methods and high-quality black-pig meat.

Ingredients

Black-pig meat (leg, belly, shoulder, neck) and fat, garlic, salt, preservative, antioxidant, natural pork casing, smoked over holm-oak wood.

Serving Suggestions

Serve thinly sliced as a premium charcuterie item, or lightly grilled to release its smoky aroma. Excellent with rustic bread, aged cheese, or added to traditional stews and soups for extra richness.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place. Once opened, wrap and refrigerate; consume within a few days for best flavour.
