Produced in the surroundings of Portalegre in the Alto Alentejo, this wine is crafted from the grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês and Trincadeira, grown in the vineyards Vinha das Malhadas, Vinha das Moutas and Vinha Velha (1901) at altitudes between 350 and 400 metres.
It shows a concentrated garnet colour. On the nose, wild berries and dark fruit dominate, with subtle smoked notes. On the palate it offers great structure, robust tannins, firm acidity and a very complex finish with persistent fruit intensity and elegance.
