A red wine crafted primarily from 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz, 10% Jaén and 10% Alfrocheiro, grown at the Quinta de Lemos vineyard in the Dão Valley at around 340-400 metres altitude, on granite-sandy soils.
Following hand-harvested grapes sorted by variety, a controlled temperature fermentation (~20 days) was carried out in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks, then followed by malolactic fermentation and an 18-month barrel ageing in French oak to enhance structure and complexity.
It displays a deep ruby colour with violet hues. The nose is intense and complex, with predominant Touriga Nacional character, complemented by subtle bergamot and violet notes. On the palate it has impressive structure, with wild berries, elegant tannins and a long, refined finish.
